How do chameleons obtain water in their natural habitat?

Due to their beautiful eyes and the ability to change their color, chameleons have become one of the most fascinating creatures in recent years. Many people are interested to know about chameleons, and some chameleons remain curious about how they get water in their natural surroundings.

As a rule, chameleons obtain their primary source of water from their diet; they consume insects, small creatures, and other insects that are moist with moisture. Additionally, some chameleon species lick dew or moisture from leaves or surfaces in their habitat as a means of supplementing their water intake.

1. Through diet- It has been found that chameleons consume a significant portion of the water they need from their diet. They eat insects and other small creatures that contain moisture in their diet, which provides the water they require.

3. Through Dew- During the early morning or evening hours, when dew forms on leaves and surfaces, chameleons will lick this moisture to supplement the amount of water they are taking in.
